Fibertex Nonwovens boosts share in South African venture to 74%, plans second needlepunch machine; buys fiber line from partner




CLOVERDALE, CA, March 4, 2015-

Fibertex Nonwovens S/A made a dramatic series of moves to step up its presence in South Africa, buying stock in its joint venture in the company from a partner along with physical asset. The purchases took effect March 1. At the same time it also announced plans to install a second needlepunch line at the JV's plant near Durban.

The South African venture produces needlepunched nonwovens, targeting a variety of applications including civil engineering, construction, agriculture and home & garden, automotive, furniture, bedding, filtration and composites.
