Global Nonwovens is poised to start up its new 4.2 meter Reicofil unit; hygiene is main target




CLOVERDALE, CA, January 29, 2015-

India is about to get its first big new Reicofil spunmelt machine, with Global Nonwovens heading into the startup phase of an R4S unit at its greenfield plant in Nashik, Maharashtra. Commercial production on the 18,000-tonne unit is expected to begin early in the second quarter.

The target market for the new unit is hygiene. Global executive Anubhav Poddar said that "Our main focus is the hygiene segment and the equipment has the flexibility to produce medical barrier fabrics for healthcare products such as gowns and drapes. We have a highly competent technical and product development team at our plant to produce spunmelt nonwovens of international quality standards to cater to the global hygiene and medical customers."
