Gulsan to install new spunmelt line in Turkey, adding 20,000 tonnes of capacity




CLOVERDALE, CA, December 11, 2014-

Turkish nonwovens producer Gulsan announced today that it will install a new 4.2 meter six-beam Reicofil 4+ nonwoven line to serve hygiene and medical markets. The machine is expected to be operational in December 2015. The new line will bring the company's Turkish capacity up to 85,000 tonnes. The company noted that "This new investment is the additional line on top of the its recent investment already started in Cairo, Egypt during October 2014 with a capacity of 20,000 tons per year in Egypt."

The company commented that the new investment is being made to support Gulsan's "future growth in the industry and in the region with highly sophisticated and up-to-date production technologies to its business partners and reinforces the company's position as one of the leading manufacturers of spunmelt materials with total of 105,000 tons per year capacity in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region."
