H.B. Fuller announces polymer emulsion price adjustments in North America

ST. PAUL, MN, September 17, 2014-

H.B. Fuller (NYSE: FUL) announced that, effective October 1, 2014, or as contracts allow, the company's North American Emulsion Polymer business will increase prices for certain products as well as apply a freight and logistics surcharge to all products sold by the business in North America. Vinyl acetate ethylene (VAE) copolymers, vinyl acrylics, and polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) homopolymers prices will be increased by $0.03 USD per wet pound. This price increase includes the Elvace®, Plyamul®, Copro®, and PACE® product brands. In addition, a freight and logistics surcharge of $0.02 USD per wet pound will be applied to all polymer emulsion products with delivered pricing terms.

These price increases are a necessary result of unprecedented supply constraints and cost increases in the raw materials used in products containing vinyl acetate. In addition, supply constraints and cost escalation in the North American trucking market require that a surcharge be implemented for all products supplied with delivered freight terms.
