Kimberly-Clark to cut 1,000-1,300 jobs or 3% of workforce by 2015 following healthcare spin off




OAKLAND, CA, October 21, 2014-

Kimberly-Clark will lay off 1,000 to 1,300 employees after completing the spinoff of its healthcare business by the end of next year, the company said in its 3Q financial call.

The cuts would represent about 3% of K-C's workforce after the spin off of Halyard Health, which includes 16,000 jobs of a total 57,000 as of at the end of last year, according to media reports.
