Knowaste eyes two possible nappy recycling sites in the UK

BRUSSELS, August 1, 2014-

Plans for a new facility for absorbent hygiene product (AHP) recycling in the UK are advancing.

Knowaste, the firm that used to run an AHP plant in West Bromwich in the West Midlands region and has been searching for a new site since it closed the previous facility in May last year, announced that it has identified two possible facilities in North London and Oxford. According to the firm, the sites are capable of handling more than 36,000 tonnes/yr of waste with access to sustainable heat, power and water sources to accommodate the AHP recycling technology.
