Lenzing tests new viscose fiber line at Indonesian site

SINGAPORE, December 14, 2012-

Austria's Lenzing has started trial runs on an 80,000 tonne/yr viscose fiber line at its mill in Purwakarta city, West Java, Indonesia. Commercial production is slated for the end of this year.

The startup of the viscose fiber production line, the fifth at the plant, which is operated by Lenzing's subsidiary South Pacific Viscose, will boost its total capacity to 320,000 tonnes/yr and make it the world's largest viscose fiber plant.
