Planned Kajo Neukirchen acquisition of wetlaid nonwovens producer Neenah Lahnstein brings seller the opportunity to redeploy capital




CLOVERDALE, CA, October 1, 2015-

Neenah Lahnstein, a specialist in nonwovens and specialty papers based in Lahnstein, near Koblenz, in Germany, will have a new owner soon. And the former owner will have the opportunity to redeploy capital into core growth areas, including filtration.

The company, which has been part of the US-based Neenah Paper since 2006, will be acquired by the Kajo Neukirchen group, a family business based in Eschborn, near Frankfurt am Main, that specializes in the acquisition of medium-sized German companies in the industrial products sector. The deal, which is subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close this fall. The financial details of the planned transaction were not disclosed.
