Spanish competition authority initiates disciplinary proceedings in adult inco sector

BRUSSELS, September 15, 2014-

The Spanish National Market and Competition Commission, Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC), is continuing its investigation into possible anti-competitive practices in the Spanish adult incontinence sector.

Following a first round of inspections at several firms, associations and federations active in the production, marketing and distribution of absorbent products for the heavy adult incontinence sector in January and more raids in June, the authority announced on September 15 that it had initiated disciplinary proceedings against 15 companies and the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies, Federación Española de Empresas de Tecnología Sanitaria (FENIN).
