Andritz starts up spunlace production line for Germany’s CMC Consumer Medical Care

GRAZ, Austria, November 19, 2015-

International technology Group ANDRITZ has commissioned a new spunlace production line for CMC Consumer Medical Care, Germany, which is one of the worldʼs leading producers of private-label solutions for cosmetic, medical, baby, and home care end uses.

CMC and ANDRITZ Nonwoven worked in close collaboration to reduce the delivery time and the commissioning period. The spunlace line was started up in October 2015, just 10 months after order placement. The premium quality spunlace fabrics (30 to 300 gsm) produced on the ANDRITZ JetlaceCottonPad unit are used to produce cosmetic cotton pads and wipes. The nonwovens line is also equipped with the new ANDRITZ neXecodry system, which provides a drying solution that performs with very low energy consumption.
