Avgol starts planning for eventual transition from its Barkan plant; timing still unclear

CLOVERDALE, CA, July 13, 2017-

Avgol Industries is selling its older nonwovens plant site in Israel as part of a plan eventually to consolidate its Israeli manufacturing activities in the new Dimona facility. In the transaction, Avgol is leasing the Barkan site back for two years with options to extend the lease for up to three more two-year periods.

The five spunlaid lines and one hydroentangling line located at Barkan are not included in the sale, and the company is currently evaluating the possibility of moving some or all of the machines to another location.
