Avgol turns sights in new direction, moves to establish its next spunlaid operation in India




CLOVERDALE, CA, July 28, 2016-

Avgol is planning a spunlaid nonwovens plant in Madhya Pradesh state in India which is expected to begin operations next year, according to Indian media reports and an Avgol filing with the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE). According to the TASE filing, the company made the decision after reaching an agreement with a major customer that will consume some of the output of the plant.

Reports on websites of Indian media outlets including the Times of India said that the project assumes an investment of Rupees 223 crore, or about $30 million. One site said that Avgol India Private Limited Israel’s Director Sushri Tami Hirszhon met Industries Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia to discuss the project.
