Low & Bonar CEO outlines company’s global strategy as UK nonwovens firm builds second Colback line in China

CLOVERDALE, CA, October 20, 2016-

UK-based durable products maker Low & Bonar is still filling its first carpet backing line in China and it has already started work on a second machine, and CEO Brett Simpson told a financial community website he sees both China and the United States as key growth targets.

He also said the company had “reinvested” recently in an existing nonwovens line in its plant in Hungary, which he described as a “renewal and growth” of the plant’s civil engineering business. The company operates three needlepunch lines at Tiszaujvaros making the Tipptex geotextile product; one is a five-meter line installed in 2007 and the other two are three-meter units installed before 2006.
