Slower demand, higher e-commerce sales, new products: latest hygiene sector quarterly investor calls




CLOVERDALE, CA, May 18, 2017-

Procter & Gamble is rolling out a new premium diaper product in China. SCA is launching a diaper brand aimed at the French market; and is planning to complete its split into two companies next month. Kimberly-Clark had a lot to say about the development of online sales of hygiene products. And Domtar enjoyed a big jump in personal care sales thanks to its acquisition of Home Delivery Incontinence Supplies.

Those were some of the revelations that emerged from hygiene companies’ latest quarterly investor calls. Aside from these items, a general theme of slowing growth, with a few regional or product bright spots, seemed to characterize many of the calls.
