SHANGHAI, April 18, 2024-

Chinese tissue producers in Baoding city, in the country's northern province of Hebei have started to take downtime in response to rising fiber costs.

On April 14-15, many Baoding tissue mills announced their downtime plans for the coming two months. According to the production cut schedules by eight mills that Fastmarkets received, most PMs at the plants will be offline for 9-47 days between April 15 to June 15, which will result in a production loss of  around 37,000 tonnes.
