KG submitted a corresponding application to the responsible district court in Aschaffenburg on January 19, 2022. The court approved this application on January 20, 2022. The protective shield procedure does not include companies other than Cordenka GmbH & Co. KG.

The business operations and production of the company based in the Industrie Center Obernburg am Main, the largest chemical fiber site in Western Europe, continues without restrictions. “All orders are processed, produced and delivered as planned. Our customers will continue to receive the high-quality products they know from us,” says Karl Hammer, CEO of Cordenka. "Our shareholder, the Chinese private equity fund Beautiful Mind Capital, has assured us that it will support the reorganization and will stand by Cordenka in the long term."
