Domtar resuming fluff pulp, personal care operations idled by Hurricane Florence, ‘facilities are safe’




OAKLAND, CA, September 20, 2018-

Domtar said its two mills that were closed ahead of Hurricane Florence were in the process of resuming operations.

A spokesman said Tuesday that the company was restarting its Plymouth, NC, fluff pulp mill and its Marlboro uncoated freesheet specialties mill in Bennettsville, SC. The facilities closed Sept. 13, ahead of the storm’s landfall late the next day.
