Domtar’s Ashdown, AR, fluff and SBSK market pulp mill remains in force majeure
SAN FRANCISCO, May 6, 2021-
Ten weeks after Domtar idled production its 634,000 tonnes/yr Ashdown, AR, market pulp mill in the wake of an Arctic Blast, the mill remains in force majeure, industry contacts told Fastmarkerts RISI.
Ashdown, which evenly splits its 634,000 tonnnes/yr of capacity between fluff pulp and southern bleached softwood kraft (SBSK) pulp, idled production on Feb. 15 and declared force majeure to customers three days later.
