For the fiscal year 2024 from ended Dec. 31, 2024, net sales of Kuraray rose by 5.9% to 826.9 billion yen ($5.4 billion). Operating income grew by 12.7% to 85.1 billion yen. Ordinary income increased by 18% to 81.5 billion yen. Net income attributable to owners of the parent fell by 25.3% to 31.7 billion yen.

The nonwovens business is mainly included in the company’s fibers and textiles segment. In 2024, net sales of this segment achieved a year-on-year increase of 1.3% to 62.7 billion yen. Operating income of this segment dropped by 33.9% to 1.2 billion yen.
