M&A activity continues to reshape nonwovens supply chain in H1 2019; were deals a bit smaller?

CLOVERDALE, CA, September 12, 2019-

Mergers and acquisitions continued to play a role in corporate strategies in the nonwovens supply chain in the first half of 2019. However, a look at the pages of Nonwovens Markets didn’t reveal as many of the big deals as in recent years.

The six acquisitions that were reported during this timeframe included four in which at least one party to the deal was a nonwovens producer, with the other two deals involving transactions between hygiene products manufacturers. The underlying intent in all cases involved some mixture of greater clarity in the company’s strategy, or a broadening or rationalization of geographic or product portfolios, or some combination.
