Monadnock registers trademark for acoustic insulation product range

MOUNT POCONO, PA, June 21, 2018-

Monadnock Non-Wovens LLC (“MNW”), a world leader in the manufacture of melt-blown polypropylene (MBPP) roll goods is offering the next generation of sound attenuation media. HPAM® – High Performance Acoustic Media, is a registered trademark of MNW.

Leveraging its manufacturing experience and long history of partnership with the automotive industry, MNW designed and developed HPAM to significantly improve sound absorption at lower frequencies through an enhanced fiber matrix and a tunable scrim on both sides.

With this tunable scrim, Monadnock HPAM® (High Performance Acoustic Media) provides excellent sound absorption and addresses the challenges of meeting or exceeding both acoustical targets and weight reduction targets for all vehicle types – including steel, aluminum or composite bodies with internal combustion, hybrid, or electric engines.

“We are pleased that HPAM is now a registered trademark and the product is already approved by most major car manufacturers,” said Monadnock Managing Director Keith Hayward.  “HPAM is suitable for use in all types of appliances, automobiles and even large trucks and farm vehicles.”

As with all MNW products, HPAM is made with 100 percent renewable electricity through the purchase of Green-e certified renewable wind power energy certificates. Constructed with 100 percent virgin polypropylene, HPAM is lighter than competitive products - critical for fuel economy, and it is fully recyclable at the end of its useful life.
