Move toward a circular economy leads INDA to launch multi-pronged nonwovens industry campaign

CLOVERDALE, CA, May 16, 2019-

Long gone are the days when nonwovens trade show and conference attendees could argue that joint efforts toward sustainability fell into the category of “nice to have” rather than “need to have” industry activities.  INDA underlined that change when it organized a meeting of interested parties during the IDEA show in March to launch a “plastics initiative working group” and attracted two to three times as many people as expected.

The result is a multi-pronged campaign that INDA President Dave Rousse expects will combine efforts to define terms, frame issues and discuss them constructively, arguing for the social and economic value of products made by the industry, and supporting industry efforts to move toward a circular economy.
