SHANGHAI, April 8, 2021-

With the biggest concentration of new nonwovens capacity investments in the world, China continues to set records for an industry that itself is comfortable putting up big growth numbers. About 90 new nonwovens lines to be installed in Mainland China and Taiwan during the period of 2020-22 have been reported by Nonwovens Markets, including meltblown, spunlace, spunbond, spunmelt, and airthrough-bond nonwovens machines.

The actual total is 88-90 lines, among which the meltblown line number represents the biggest proportion. A total of 39-40 new meltblown lines were reported to have been added since the start of 2020 or are scheduled to come online by the end of 2022, involving 10 companies.
