Pace of deals in nonwovens, related industries slows a bit, but growth remains major focus
WILMOT, NH, October 7, 2021-
Merger, acquisition and initial public offering activity in the nonwovens industry and related sectors has been somewhat muted in the past year compared with some previous periods but it certainly hasn’t gone away, with two names providing many of the headlines: Glatfelter, and China. Glatfelter announced two big deals, and Chinese firms were involved in purchases and IPOs.
In last year’s fourth quarter and the first three quarters of this year, Nonwovens Markets reported on 12 major deals including a range of acquisitions and IPOs. No outright mergers were reported, and initial public offerings represented a higher proportion of the deals than in past years thanks to two IPOs in China and one in the United States.
