
Phase III expansion project of Kimberly-Clark Nanjing facility kicks off
NANJING, China, June 13, 2024-
On June 13, Nanjing Daily reported that the phase III expansion project of Kimberly-Clark Nanjing facility was officially kicked off in Jiangning, Nanjing city of China on June 12. Fixed-assessment investment of this project is about $50 million. Four new production lines will be added. It is predicted that the output value of Kimberly-Clark Nanjing facility will reach 2 billion yuan ($276 million) after the new capacities being put into operation.
Han Liming, secretary of the CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee and Mike Hsu, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kimberly-Clark attended the project signing event on that day. In an interview with Ifeng.com, Mike Hsu said that Kimberly-Clark Nanjing facility serves not only the Chinese domestic market, but markets of many other countries and regions. Kimberly-Clark will further leverage the advantage of efficiency of Chinese supply chain to offer better services to the Chinese and overseas customers.
