Sandler plans $60 million expansion of US plant; new line to start up in autumn 2020




SCHWARZENBACH/SAALE, Germany, September 16, 2019-

Nonwoven manufacturer Sandler has broken ground on the expansion of its US plant in Perry, Georgia. A new production line is scheduled to start production in fall 2020.

Excavation works are starting at Sandler Nonwoven Corporation: To the northwest of the existing building, preparations are underway for the construction of a 135,000 sqft. building, that is to house production and warehouse facilities. In this extension building, installation of a new manufacturing line for nonwovens for hygiene applications will commence early next year. Start of production is scheduled for fall 2020. All in all, this investment will create 70 new jobs in different departments at the Perry site.
