Shalag to acquire Italian air-through bond maker Texsus, adding European location to plant network




CLOVERDALE, CA, August 22, 2019-

Shalag Nonwovens is buying Italy’s Texsus S.p.A., bringing it a European manufacturing base to supplement its existing sites in Israel and the United States. Shalag CEO Ilan Pickman said the resulting operation will have nonwovens capacity of “close to 60,000 tons per annum.”

Shalag presently operates plants in Kibbutz Shamir, Israel, and Oxford, North Carolina, in the United States. It specializes in carded thermalbond and air-through bond nonwovens for hygiene, wipes and industrial applications.
