Organized by Informa Markets, the 2023 Children-Baby-Maternity Expo (CBME) was held at the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), one of biggest exhibition halls of China on June 28-30. Many Chinese baby diaper companies joined in this consumer products trade fair.

Contacts and market observers with dozens of years of career in the industry told Nonwovens Markets that since 2020, more and more Chinese baby diaper companies and brand owners have joined consumer products trade fairs such as the CBME to exhibit and launch this new baby diaper products and to meet consumers. They also favor online sales festivals on top domestic e-commerce platforms to publicize new series and products. But this time, the baby diaper exhibition area, the number of booths and the newly-launched products for exhibition in the 2023 edition have shrunk compared with the previous three to four editions. According to a market observer, decrease of the number of baby diaper exhibitors in such a big fair is mainly caused by the remarkable shrinkage of the market demand. The organize hasn’t disclosed the number of visitors until the beginning of July.
