With Nanhai’s RF5 and ATB lines entering crowded Chinese market, Berry sees a path to differentiation

SHANGHAI, January 16, 2020-

Late 2019 was a newsworthy time for Berry Global’s Nanhai plant in China, and the pace of change promises to accelerate as two new machines begin shipping products to customers. Speaking to Nonwovens Markets in December at the SINCE trade show in Shanghai, Berry executives discussed their Asian market plans, and suggested that the way to navigate through a crowded market is to offer premium, differentiated products that meet customer needs.

On December 13, 2019, Berry Global held an opening ceremony for its new Reicofil 5 (RF5) line in the Nanhai facility in Guangdong province of China. About 100 guests were invited to join the ceremony. According to Berry, its customers can expect to receive products from the new line beginning January 21, 2020.
